Thank you for visiting Olivia's page. Won't be long before she is writing her own code but for now, Grandpa will fill in.
Here is Francesca when she was 1 hour old. She seemed to look at anyone holding her like "What is this?". I know her eyes couldn't focus and she was not aware that she was moving her arms but we all pretended we were communicating.
Kristen was two weeks overdue and her doctor sent her in Sunday at 5pm to start procedures to induce birth. By Monday night about 8pm, the conclusion was that the baby was not going to emerge as expected and a C-section was needed. By that time Kristen was pretty worn out. Giacomo was a real man throughout the whole time. He even stayed with her for the C-section. Kristen was awake but numb but couldn't recall all the details. Giacomo related everything to her the next day. Grandpa was quick to admit that Giacomo was the "best man."

Kristen waiting for Olivia. |
For those who want the details, our new arrival is Olivia Francesca Gobbi-Belcredi. She arrived at 9:32 pm on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 8 lbs, 11 oz and 21 inches long. The doctor said that a C-section would have been needed even if he had induced last week. Because of the C-section delivery, Francesca did not looked "squeched" like she would with a normal delivery so she got a lot of "oohs" and "aahs" from everyone. She has long fingernails like a fashion model; Kristen pulls down her sleeves a lot to keep her from scratching her face.
