Nearly 100 people braved unusually cold temperatures to attend the 2nd Annual Heritage Plantation Historical Event, Sunday, November 14, 2004 . Held at the Pawley Family Cemetery, near the 4th green, the event was planned to celebrate the completion of the cemetery’s lengthy restoration. Volunteers were thanked and reinactors, Lee Brockington and Doug Rohloff along with Gay Wright, who served as narrator, told the fascinating the history of True Blue Plantation, which is now the southern portion of Heritage Plantation.

Percival Edward Vaux, who was master of True Blue Plantation from 1805 until his death in 1840.
Southern Belles Cemetery board members, Carol Bolick, Nancy Rogers, Lee Brockington and “The Countessa” Angela Ares wore period costumes to the event.
With his golden voice, Gay Wright served as
the narrator for the event.
Lee Brockington portrayed Percival’s wife,
Sarah Richards.
Following the outdoor event, cemetery volunteers enjoyed a Plantation Supper featuring plantation-era food. Ginny Hayes chats with Goodman Griffin
and her husband, Clark.
Judith compliments Gloria Michelson for having
sewn the costume worn by Doug Rohloff.
