The Great Ice Cream Extravaganza and Game Day Social.... It's been said that only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun....they obviously haven't met our intrepid Heritage folk!! The thermometer might have read 92, and the sun hot enough to fry an egg on the patio, but that didn't stop over 40 of our neighbors from an afternoon of games and an old fashioned ice cream social as a reward for their endurance and good spirits. |

| Two years ago, Kent M introduced Heritage to the popular game of "Leaf Blower Shootout." This versatile game can fire Beer cans (excuse me ... Soda cans) or Tennis Balls. The object of the game is to fire the projectiles into a target receptable. As it turns out, the quote from Verner Von Braun was quite appropriate. "I just shoot them up. We don't care where they come down." Here you see leaf blower "Meisters", Warren B and Jason T set up for the great leaf blower tennis shoot..... |

| A crowd favorite, everyone has a technique for the difficult job of getting the ball in the container... Lots of questionable instructions...aim high...aim low...and surprisingly, the ball went in...sometimes! |

| Some folks waited their turn in the shade of the porch.....some headed for the air conditioned indoors....and the card sharks decided to have fun indoors (maybe they'll all get sunstroke and we'll get all the ice cream!) |

What's better than water balloons on a hot day!! This was one game where you started out wanting to win and then realized how cool and refreshing it would be to lose. Nice catch John! |
