| At the July lunch we were treated to an introduction to Taoist Tai Chi, a gentle art that promotes health and well being in people of all ages. Liz Hileman, local Tai Chi instructor, explained the benefits of this ancient practice and with the help of 2 of her students, who are Heritage residents, gave us a demonstration of the gentle but effective moves. Tai Chi has been shown to reduce tension, improve circulation and balance, increase strength and flexibility while restoring calmness and peace of mind to those who practice it regularly. Who of us couldn't use a bit of that??? |
